PRESS NOTE 

"BEST Undertaking" has been awarded as "Best Performing Distribution Company" for best performance of Electric supply Division and conferred with the trophy and certificate for "Outstanding Performance" at the hands of Mr Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairman, Central Electricity Authority (CEA) & Secretary to the Government of India in the presences dignitaries on the occasion IPPA Awards 2023 ceremony on 8th April 2023. Award Ceremony was organized by the Independent Power Producers Association of India (IPPAI) that was held from on 7th to 9th April 2023 at the Shoonya Farm Retreat, Belgundi, Belgaum. BEST Undertaking's exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to promoting clean energy and sustainable practices in the power sector has been widely recognized and appreciated.

Electricity 

"NATIONAL AWARDS FOR MERITORIOUS PERFORMANCE IN POWER SECTOR” for the Year 2012-13" Bronze medal received by Shri. Mahendra Urunkar (AGMES) & Shri Suresh Makwana (CECC) at the hands of Shri. Jyotiraditya Scindia - Union Minister of State for Power. 

BEST UNDERTAKING BAGS NATIONAL AWARD FOR MERITORIOUS PERFORMANCE IN POWER SECTOR FOR THE YEAR 2012-13 Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking ( BEST) has been conferred with National Award for best performance in distribution companies in bronze category at the recently held National award ceremony at New Delhi. The award was received by Shri. Mahendra Urunkar, Assistant General Manager, Electric Supply and Shri. Suresh Makwana, Chief Engineer, Electric Supply at the hands of Shri. Jyotiraditya Scindia - Union Minister of State for Power. The awards are given on the basis of evaluation carried out by Central Electricity Authority.

 

Year 2012-2013

• 6th India Power Award received for best overall performance (Metro) awarded by Council of Power Utilities.

• 7th Enertia Award received for best performing Utility (Urban) awarded by Falcon Media.

Year 2011 - 2012

• 5th India Power Award received for overall utility performance awarded by Council of Power Utilities.

Year 2010-2011

• National award received in the form of Silver Shield for Meritorious Performance in power sector awarded by Ministry of Power Govt. of India.

• 4th India Power Award received for overall utility performance awarded by Council of Power Utilities.

Year 2009-2010

• National Award received in the form of Gold Shield for Meritorious Performance in power sector awarded by Ministry of Power Govt. of India.

• 3rd India Power Award received for overall utility performance awarded by Council of Power Utilities.

Year 2008-2009

• 2nd India Power Award received for overall utility performance awarded by MERCADOS Energy Market International.

Year 2007-2008

• Comprehensive Award received in the form of silver shield awarded by Central Electricity Authority (CEA).

Transport

General Manager Mr. Om Prakash Gupta, IAS accepting the trophy for “e-Ticketing Project” at the 60 th UITP World Congress held in Geneva.
